The Executive Director of the National Association for Out-of-Court Settlements, Ms. Svilena Nasalevska, and the Chairman of the Management Board, Mr. Bogomil Nikolov, were invited to a working meeting with the European Commissioner responsible for financial services and the Savings and Investments Union, Ms. Maria Luís Albuquerque.
During the event, Commissioner Albuquerque presented the European Commission’s plans for the development of the Savings and Investments Union in the EU Member States. The initiative aims to create conditions for EU citizens to save while at the same time investing in accessible, transparent, and beneficial financial instruments, while also benefiting from available tax incentives. A key objective is to increase citizens’ participation in the capital markets, which will lead to growth in their personal wealth and stimulate the economy of the entire Union. To achieve this, the initiative foresees the creation of more investment opportunities and the improvement of the financial literacy of the population.
The participants in the meeting discussed key aspects and factors that could influence the successful implementation of the project in Bulgaria. Commissioner Albuquerque’s office expressed readiness to provide support and respond to all inquiries and proposals on the topic from interested institutions and organizations.
NAIS’s participation in such forums highlights the importance of active dialogue with European institutions and the Association’s role in adapting European policies to the Bulgarian context. Through its presence, NAIS reaffirms its position as a reliable partner committed to developing effective and sustainable solutions for the benefit of society and business.
